Code of Conduct for Student Behavior

  1. Be on Time
  2. No talking or making random noises while someone else has the floor. Respect your teacher and peers at all times.
  3. No fighting
  4. No profanity
  5. No sagging pants
  6. No eating is allowed in band room
  7. No vandalism. Respect Booker T. Washington New Tech High School and the long legacy of achievement it has earned.
" Be at the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment, ready to concentrate."

Consequences (In order)

  • Warning
  • Parent Conference
  • Referred to the Assistant Principal of Discipline
  • Suspension from band (will affect grade)
  • Grounds for dismissal from band program

The Booker T.  Washington New Tech H. S. Band Booster Club

The Purpose:

The primary purpose is to serve as a support group/community (fund raising, chaperoned, transporting various band necessities, and motivation for students). The organization will seek:
  1. To promote and stimulate musical education in the community.
  2. To simulate a spirit of fellowship and cooperation among the membership of the  Booster Club.
  3. To accept and disburse funds and otherwise assist the band, not in conflict with constituted authority (Principal) and in accordance with the Booker T. Washington New Tech H. S. Band Rules of Conduct and advice of the Band Director. In the event of conflict between Booker T. Washington  New Tech H. S. Band Booster Club and the Band Director,  the ruling will be determined by the Principal.
