Mr. Emmanuel J. Hudson, BTWNTHS Band Director
Mr. Emmanuel Hudson is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated with honors from Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge, LA with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education. He attended Southern University on a full honors scholarship and was a student in the Honors College. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc. He served as Intake Coordinator for both organizations while at Southern. He served as Master for The Prize winning Beta Sigma Chapter step team. Mr. Hudson also was a part of the Southern University "Human Jukebox" where he served as section leader of the baritone section. He was also part of a Symphonic Band and Brass Ensemble. He completed his student teaching experience at the Southern University Laboratory School. He also serves as musician for the Republic Baptist Church in Mooringsport, LA.
Mr. Hudson began his music education in Caddo Parish School where he enrolled in a String Class at Judson Magnet School. He continued with the drums, piano, and baritone at Caddo Middle Magnet, Turner Middle, and Huntington High schools. Mr. Hudson ended his Caddo experience as Drum Major and section leader at Huntington High School and was selected for Parish Honor Band.
