The Booker T. New Technology Washington High School Band Program will seek to:
Promote a positive and professional appreciation for the area of Music and the contribution it makes to the global community.
Support and undergird the core discipline by providing the opportunity to develop higher-ordered thinking skills and effective work ethic and personal habits that will transfer from the music classroom to the entire school environment.
Instill and maintain school spirit and a feeling of pride based on the historical contributions that Booker T. Washington New Technology High School has made and contributes to make to the Shreveport community.
Not only teach students, but also educate them in such a manner that they reach their individual potential as a student and as a global citizen….
